I had a quick question regarding the polution pump on my 84 hurst cutlass I was thinking about removing it considering I've already done away with the cat, would this be a good or bad idea considering it does still work...

If emissions aren't required then it would be ok. But keep in mind it is illegal to remove smog equipment if it originally had it installed. Emissions laws are starting to get stricter for the older cars. If you do remove it don't throw it away because if you might need it again.
