I used higher durometer rubber bushings for a 1LE Camaro. GM part # 10164152

Good advice. I used these in the upper housing ears to allow for some flex. Don't try to beat bushings out of the ears unless you feel lucky and have a fat wallet. Use a drill to remove the rubber (check Youtube for tutorial videos) to do it right.

When I went through my 86' I found that the cost of new bushings and installing them in factory control arms was very close to buying a nice set of really nice aftermarket arms with roto joints (to fix bind caused by factory parts). Do your homework before buying anything.
