Back to the drawing board. 455 plan didn't pan out so now I'm looking into a 454 plan. What motor mounts do I need and will I have to remove the heater/ac box off the fire wall? What trans will fit without modifieing the tunnel? Do they make headers to fit? So many quetions! Thanks for any help!

455 Pontiac would've been a lot cooler, but yes, the 454 Chev will fit fine.

You need stock 305 mounts for both the frame and block and it's a direct bolt-in.
No need to remove the a/c box. It will clear fine with short valve covers.
You're in Minnesota like me, so I don't have to tell you removing it is a bad idea...
Pretty much any automatic trans will fit without modification to the tunnel.
Headers are offered by several companies, most are pretty pricey.
