G-Body-Vet, check and see if F-body stuff will work. If it does, I can probably hook you up with the motor mount brackets (that bolt to the block) and possibly some pulleys. Friend of mine parted out a 79 firebird with a 301, I can see what he kept.

I don't think they do but I'll see what I can find out. I contacted a guy in PA to see if he'll sell them and submitted a parts request thru car-part.com as well.

If you can get a pic of the A/G-body mount brackets I can compare them to the F-body brackets I have.

Try checking kijiji.

hey Steve, As far as i know, f body mounts won`t fit. The wiring issue is realy one of convenience because certain accessories are id different places and wires need to be lenghened or shortend, such as the starter on opposite sides of the engine between chevies and pontiacs. fairly easily done just a pain in the *ss.

Both GPs that i sent pics of are 301 powered and I am trying to get the yard owner to let me pull the mounts for a reasonable price without bying the whole seized powertrain. If I am successful I will let you know.

No need to go through the trouble. I located a set that will be shipped out shortly. The wiring won't be an issue either. I'd rather replace it with new than use a 30+ year old harness.

When you get the mounts, could you shoot a couple photos showing measurements? Gregg
