According to the VA State Police, there have been about 75 auto crashes on Virginia highways in the last 3 days...all deer related....looks like the rutt is in full swing! Gotta watch for them crazy *ss Bucks and those stressed out Does this time of the year....Sorry bout your loss...dont scrap it!

sorry bud I hit average 3 deer a year . I see at least 20 every morning on way to work . and more at night. Wife hit 1 Sunday night bumper cover and head light . Both replaced already .

Your car is a easy fix. If you can find solid cars easy I guess your right just to let go.

Adjuster came today. He valued my car at 2730ish.

Minus my deductible, ill still get 2230 something.

I managed to get the hood open, too. Whatever is causing the alternator to charge is not evident. Nor is the power steering loss. Belts and hoses are intact.

Honestly, its been a good car, but the gas mileage was horrible for a car I drive 80 miles roubdtrip to work every day (16-17mpg). Its just best to let it go and find a better commuter

Damn dude that sucks! Same thing happened to me in my 1999 Ford Crown Victoria police interceptor a year ago. They build those cars like a tank, it kept me completely safe. Downside is it totaled the Vic, since the bags deployed but still. The deer was split in two and it's head was wedged in my engine. Pretty gory, blood all over the car and road.

Most important is that you are okay, my friend.

I just hit a deer sunday night in the 94 T-bird...nice buck...6pt...luckily, I hit it with the center of the hood, so it didnt break the headlights. his antlers dented my hood and broke his neck. Luckily I wasnt going full speed...about 45-50...speed limit is 55 and Im usually busting 60mph on that road. I hate it when I hit a large animal...sux!
