Porting stock exhaust?

I've considered true duals, but that would require another cutout, 2 new mufflers, 2 cats, and a new crossmemebr. That's why I'm thinking these shorties would be an alright just deal for a couple hundred dollars.

Based on your set up I think shorties would be your best option but shop around since there are many header manufacturers that make a version for SBC in our cars just verify application and look on Ebay also and if you find a specific brand cheaper don't hesitate to have Jegs or Summit price match it.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it

Ok so I think I might've hit a problem with the shorties. I was looking at the stock manifolds, and it seeks like they are pretty small and close to the block. I feel like headers, even shorties, would be too big to fit. Not sure if an exhaust shop could do this for me and move stuff around to make it work or not. I'll post a pic of what I'm talking about later on
