Here is another idea to throw out there. I didn't want to deal with dual exhaust on a daily driver 305ci '79 Malibu wagon and found a set of Edelbrock T.E.S. for a Monte Carlo SS on ebay. The a.i.r. tubes are cut off, the front of the Magnaflow cat now has a MCSS flange the back has the old Malibu ball type connection. Stock pipes from the cat back with a DynaMax Turbo muffler. It took a little plannin' and the canibalizin' of two converters but, it worked for what I wanted. I like to modify things so "out of the box" just meens close to fittin'to me.
