Hi- I have been working on 78 Regal for a long time. Got it started after 20 years just recently. Complete frame off resto. Now working on wiring. I replaced my Ford type Solenoid a few months ago and did some rewiring. I recall I have three fusible links to solenoid I think one for lights, one for alternator and one for coil or starter.

My issues --- I have power to window breaker and circuit all of the time. At switch control windows can go up or down with key to off position.

Do you think I messed up the solenoid wiring?

Also my heater fan stays on even after ignition is off. Replaced relay mounted in engine area plus resister, and inside fan switch too. Fan control ...like my windows have power all the time. If I switch my fan to off then the blower stops.

lastly of course the battery drains and I have to keep it on a trickle charger

Thanks

There is two fusible links, not three but it does sound like you have the solenoid wired ok. I would test the ignition switch with a test light to see if that is defective and passing power to the windows and fan
