Power Trunk Release

Can someone tell me where the factory switch goes? Was it in the glovebox? Is there a mounting bracket?
I can put it anywhere; I was just thinking that a factory looking mount would look more, well, factory looking.

On my GN it was in the glovebox on the left side of the latch:

On my 2+2 we put the switch under the flip down licence plate, because the the only thing in the trunk is a fuel cell.

It's on my glovebox in my GP. The mounting bracket is installed with a screw at the top of the bracket. I also have it wired to remotely open it with my alarm fob

I put mine here, no bracket needed. I drilled a hole just a bit smaller then the button.

Mine came in the glove box also but I moved it under my dash on the passenger side for easier access after I installed my MSD 7AL3 on my glove box door

No there's an gap between the door and the dash
