I'd like your advice.
I have the door window removed to fix the glass rattle and to glue a loose edge.of the exterior window sweep. Is it worth the effort, at this time, to also remove the PW motor and track assy to clean and grease. I think some rivets would need drilling out. At this time the windows still function at their casual up speed. Should I be proactive in maintenance or should I spend my time driving?

for the window sweep the window needs to be installed and lower the stops to remove or install the window sweep.

DRIVING !!!! the season is short ...............and winter is long
...but, but,.... it drives me nuts when the window rattle is louder than my exhaust. Yah, I know - roll up the window. Then I can't hear my exhaust.
The door lock and handle squeak due to old dried grease. Sounds just like a 31 year old GM car. Slap me, for being such an old fool, next time you see me!

Drive it now then fix this winter. Replace the wipers, clean, clean, clean and lightly lube runners. Adjust guides, windex and newspaper to clean windows then rain-x. You might think about running a relay system to power the motors as they will work better. Good time to lube locks and replace exterior lock gasket.
Fun fun

Cadillac just called. I'm hired to redo driver's side doors.:bs:
Well, all I did was remove the glass and seals, glue up the door rebar, grease the lock and door handle assys,, lube any moving joints, reposition the two felt pads, straighten the upper inside door panel, place body putty on the contact points, adjust the guides - no rattle window up or down at closing and driving. Basically, no new parts, just careful reassembling.

EDIT: see line 2 of my signature .. kinda explains what I'm all about
