Don't do it!!!! They are meant for off road use. If track only then they are okay. I put one in my 8.5 years ago when i was less knowledgable on rearend stuff. As the title states has anyone used these or know of anyone running them? I looked at the Lock-Right years ago for 7.5 in an el camino but the car... but the car with open diffs ate axels 3 times a day for meals so I never bothered.

Honestly, it hasn't performed bad, always locked the both tires, but acts more like a spool than its advertised.
When i redo my rearend i will be using an auburn or eaton carrier instead.
Hth,
Scott.
Honestly, it's not loud like a spool, just acts like one. I do give Richmond credit on that part....it really is quiet. Thanks, more just curious right now, Seems to go to be true when it said quiet operations.
