Hello all. I have a 87 cutty with a 406 zero decked internally balanced 10to1 compression 6in rods AFR 195 street heads port matched eddy rpm, 227-231-535-550-110lsa lunati HR cam with crane 1.5RR. Bto level 3 700r4 with a 2600 HD stall. 3.90 gear set 8.5in 10bolt detroit locker moser axles. F.A.S.T EZ efi tpi 1 5/8 hedmen G body mid length headers. true mandrel bent 2 1'2in with H pipe and a set of mangaflows. This is a 99% street car but what do you guy think it would run in the 1/4 mile. I want low 12's.

Low 12's shouldn't be a problem. May run into problems with traction, but nothing a set of drag radials wont fix! Good luck and have fun!

X2......You can have all the power in the world but if you can't lay it down that it worthless...

With a good set of slicks it should and it hooks, it should go high 11's. I am a bit concerned about the converter, you may need a higher stall. And don't put a set of slicks on without changing to stronger axles or they will break, that would be bad.

he's got a pretty bullet-proof differential, 8.5, detroit locker posi unit, and moser axles
I bet he could neutral drop from 6000rpm and it still wouldn't blow the rear, lol

I agree about the converter tho, the stall speed is more street oriented. You won't be launching near your torque-band. Your 60ft I predict around 1.8sec, which is gonna hurt your overall 1/4 ET.

I think you will see the MPH of a mid 11sec car, but I'm gonna predict an ET of 12.2sec (if you use slicks). You'll be lucky to see high 12s without slicks/drag radials.

I only say that about the axles because i to have the Moser axles for my 10.5 and without C clip eliminators and slicks it is a risk. Moser told me these axles are good for 500-600 hp but with slicks they could break, thats just what they told me anyway.

Thanks for the replies. I'll give a little history about the car, last year when i bought it I installed the 406 with 185 runner edelbrock rpm heads 70cc chambers(9.5to1)box stock. Eddy performer eps intake port matched to heads. The cam was a Lunati HR 211-219-507-515 on a112lsa. Th350 stock stall 3.23 posi 7.5 stock axles. Leting it shift by itself on 215-70-14 BF ta's it went best of 13.4 at 102 MPH. Sixty foots were in the 2.0s. The current rearend came from JD Race from Canton OH great guy to deal with.
