after five years a waiting I decided this week I'm going to do some work on the el camino
After my cowl hood install I moved on to repairing the leaky ac system

The compressor had some blown seals and I replaced it. Added two new hoses a accumulator
And new oriface tube. Recharged it and its blowing some cold air again

Moved into the rear spring install. Bmr lowering springs to be exact. Removed the old air shocks
And stock springs

During its life someone added some sort of non factory rubber isolator to the springs

Each about a 1.250 thick
So I'm going back with own type isolators. I'll finish the install tomorrow

I also added a grant steering wheel. Replacing the turn signal cam in the process do my horn works again

Been a busy day. Soon I'll start on the front springs. Moog 5660 to be exact. Along with the new ball joints and the 36 mm sway bar

Then I'll tackle the c5 corvette brake swap

How's the car sit now?
Replaced the rear springs and isolator pads
It's measurements are the same as the front now

Sorry. Forgot my pics

My money is on "yes" they will need some trimming. Think of all of the practice you will get removing and installing the LCA's. But when you get them right, I think you will like them.

Steve (pontiacgp) has stated several times that the front will come down 1" for every 1/4 coil you cut on 5660's. I have new 5660's on my car. The engine and transmission are in it but there is quite a bit left to install before its fully assembled (front accessory drive, carb, radiator, condenser, fluids, hoses, etc.). Still, it looks like it is sitting high in the front to me.
