Here are various projects I do for customers. This is my day job and the biggest reason my g-body projects are very slow moving.

First up 1954 Chevy 3100 custom pickup. We did a ground up build on this one. Drivetrain is a gm performance 350, 700r4 and 10 bolt rear. Front suspension is mustang II, 17" aftermarket wheels, 4 wheel power disc brakes and much more.

So after assembling the truck we figured out that the suspension our customer provided was a tad low for a driver. Had to order new springs, control arms, shocks and rack.

1958 Plymouth Belvidere we are doing a long term build on. It's not a complete restoration but is getting many upgrades including 4 wheel disc brakes, new brake lines, swapped from a 318 to a 350 golden cammando, 150 mph speedo, nos fuel tank, new fuel lines and much more.

So this disc brake kit was pretty straight forward and only required little fab work to install. I had to cut the seal retainers out of the old backing plates, weld brake hose tabs on the rear axle, remove rear drums from rear hubs via cutting rivets off, switch hubs over to accept a wheel stud and nut. This car had wheel bolts instead of wheel nuts so the hubs needed drilled, studs installed and some light machining of hub surface.

Here are pics of the 350 golden commando engine. Our customer bought this engine on e-bay and was told it was rebuilt and the vehicle it was in caught fire. We brought it in the shop and there was oil pissing out of the oil pan where it was apparently broken and hack welded. The oil pan was badly dented but the dents were from the inside out  . So I decided to tear it down and at least look ate the bottom end. What I found was a motor that truly had just been rebuilt by someone who didn't know what they were doing. All the bearings were new yet every one of them was wipe out and there was all sorts of small dirt and debri inside the motor. Conclusion-Someone didn't know how clean you need to be when assembling a engine and that same someone needs to learn what plastiguages is.....
