Was going through some of my old pictures. This is not a drop in the bucket of G Bodys I've owned. I messed with these cars regularly in the mid to late 90s and early 2000. In the one pic, that's two 87 Buick GNs. The one body on the ground was from up north somewhere and it was severly rusted. They had used urethane to glue down the T tops because of the rust in the T section of the roof. I had found one with a blown engine and salvage title and used best parts from two to make one nice one. The blue Regal was found about 30 miles from my house with supposedly a bad engine. The carb filter was plugged because of cruddy/rusty gas tank. I paid $150 for it. I parted it out and used a lot of the parts including motor/trans for an 86 Regal I built for my wife. Can't find any pics of it though. The 87 Turbo T was spotted in front of a salvage. I bought it for $2500 and drove it home. I have owned and built many turbo intercooled Buicks and had a pretty good wealth of knowledge on them. There's a lot of cars I have pics of somewhere. I'm estimating cause my memory is bad, I've owned about 6 Monte SS' two Luxery Sports, and maybe 10 regular Monte's. Countless Regals and Cutlasses too. Three El Camino's including the one I own now. Back then the cars were cheap.

I wonder what phobia that obsession belongs to ..😛

I've had more few cars but I spread my obsession out to different manufacturers but mainly GM.....

The progress photos of the Salon prove you're not a poser. But now you're just punishing the rest of us amateurs....

; )

(Keep up the inspiration!)

I've always stuck with GM and mainly Chevy. I've always built and worked on small blocks. I know them so well, I hate to try something new. Went to work at a mechanic shop when I was about 21. My boss was an old guy and he taught me tons. Stayed with him for 4 years. I should go some day and try to find him. I don't even know if he's still alive. I was fortunate enough to get into hot rods and street race cars. I hung out with guys twice my age and learned from them too. My first REAL street race car was a 55 Chevy 2 door post with a 383 and 12 bolt posi. That thing hauled @$$. I was always buying, building, and selling. Sometimes they had to be sold to keep my wife and dogs housed and fed. Had a bunch I wish I could have kept = 55 Nomad, 383 Cuda, My last Grand National, 70 split bumper Camaro with a built 468, 87 Monte SS aerocoupe. Also have some that I should have got because I could have= Pontiac 2+2 Aero(front wrecked), 84 Hurst Olds(guy was trying to trade me for labor and materials on a 48 Ford truck I did for him), and an 83 Hurst Olds that was pretty rough but only $2000. Nowadays, I check my local craigslist daily looking for good buys on G Bodys and nothing has shown up good in about a year. I did miss an 86 SS monte last winter that was partially disassembled but still ran and moved for $600. When I called, the guy said someone was on their way. I offered him $100 more to keep it for me but he didn't. The funniest craigslist deal for me last year was our forum owner (GP403) bought an 87 Cutlass that was usually parked about 1/2 mile from my house by the road for sale. It was also listed on craigslist but out of my budget. After about a week or two, I decided I was buying that car. Got on craigslist and it was gone. It showed back up HERE. LMAO. Ya snooze, ya lose.
