decided to put new brakes on the front along with new everything else. gotta replace the line from the prop valve to the right front. probably will be a several day project. will the prop valve have to be reset when all the fluid is drained? seems i read something about that somewhere. thanks

You will have to bleed the brakes afterwards.

You may want to consider a bleeder tool for the combination valve. It takes the place of the trip switch during brake bleeding to keep the valve stabilized during the bleeding process. Then you just swap it back out for the factory switch when you're done.

thanks for the reply. my white valve is broken off. and just to add more to this project i have a nine inch ford conversion sitting in the garage floor ready for install next spring. that means i'll have to install a different prop valve because the new install has disc. brakes. would like to finish the front brakes this year. i'll check out the bleed tool as it looks like i can use it on the current prop valve and maybe the new prop valve that will have to be matched with a disc and disc setup. i'l have to find out what master cylinder to use for my disc to disc setup as i have seen several prop valves for that setup. thanks again.

FYI, Inline Tube sells a valve for disc/disc. Its listed for close to $80 on their website. If you get the stock number and look on ebay its $49 with free shipping. From them !!! Its kinda strange how they price stuff but its so much cheaper from their ebay sales.
Just so you know, its the same part. I asked if they were returns sold at a discount on ebay and thats not the case.

ok i knew deep down inside this was going to happen. all lines are crap. it's gonna be replace everything in the brake system. i'll use current prop valve for my current disc/drum for now and go with the prop valve Mikester talked about for the disc/disc system in the spring. gonna get the bleed tool. i was thinking the current brake lines were a little newer, but no they were crap.
