PLEASE go back with the same color scheme, thats gonna be one sick regal. 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

I really like it too and plus its the original color. Im guessing its the Cinnibar color but not sure since I have nothing to compare it to nor do I have the RPO codes.

I want to get it on the road and I was going to put a 350/200r4, paint everything underneath black and repaint the body.....but my original plan was to detail every part on the car. My pappy really liked the Grinch so I always said I want to paint it green, maybe with a white top.

Im still not sure what Im going to do yet. After pulling the engine I felt like rebuilding. So I may stick with my First plan by keeping it as original as possible. But we will see.

Looks like its going to be a fun project with a good story as well. I saw the rust on the doors....how are the floors from it sitting in the woods?

They are actually pretty solid. I wont know for sure until I pull the carpet. I am very surprised that its not eatin all the way thru......I have to learn how to do some body work now

Better check your number 2 body mounts. Rain likes to run down to the number 2s while the car is parked which rots the metal inserts in the mount bushings out. The rust powder from the bushing inserts then rot the frame, you may need to lift the body up and weld in repair washers.

Hey thanks! Ill check that out....I plan on taking the body off and doing quite a bit of work to the frame.

Alright finally got some time to mess with the arms. I gotta fill and grind.

aaaaaand after...Ill mess with them again later but im tired of welding this thin stuff for now.

Um that was a bad idea. The upper arms are designed to flex alot to prevent binding and snap oversteer.

Pretty sure they will not 'snap' but he box looks like it goes to far to the rear on the lower/rear portion of the upper arm that is open to clear the casting/mount for the upper control bushing of the rear end housing. Also, weld a washer on the outside, upper rear bolt hole, it takes the most abuse, pushing the whole car forward. Look around a few junk yards/salvages and score rear sway bar and mounts that go inside the lower control arms BEFORE you box them.

That's a pretty nice looking car except for that fender. I recently bought a new front left panel fender for my 1980 regal from an auto ranch in Texas. Otherwise the car looks immaculate for having sat in the woods so long. Thankfully when we took my buick out, it's was from a garage.

Not Bad!! Your gonna have fun with it for sure. CAP has a lot of G-bodies in their 3 yards. Happy fishing!
