I am installing a ZZ4 cam with GM performance roller lifters #12499225 and vortec heads. I've tried finding it online but no luck. Does anyone know the pushrod length for this set up?

Thanks

The 5.7l vortec roller motors use 7.2" pushrods. Are you using guide plates or anything that would effect the length like milled heads or decked block? If not I would bet 7.2's would probably work just fine. By the way I just went to comp cams website and looked up parts by engine.

thanks, this is the first roller set up for me so I was looking it up part specific....I wasn't aware other cams set ups would be the same..

Yea, well you have a single rear main seal block which is the same as a vortec with the spider and dog bones right? You have vortec heads so I would imagine the same rod length would work just fine. Essentially you just have a 350 vortec. My 355 is currently out and on a stand right now. I have a single rear main block, holes drilled for the spider, I have all the lifters, spider, dog bones, I am short the retainer plate and a roller cam timing set. Once I pick the cam, retainer, and timing set out I will be going roller as well. They are so much better.

I just need the retainer plate and timing set as well. You probably know this, there are 2 sizes for the retainer plate..

What type of power are you estimating? I really want to hit about 430-440 crank hp in my 355. My heads are capable but I think I am gonna have to spin it pretty high. I have Dart Platinum 200cc 64cc chamber heads. Not sure what cam I am going to use yet. Thinking about something from comp or lunati.

At least you guys don't have to deal with several different camshaft base circles when trying to figure out pushrod length

yes it's pretty simple and I thought I would have plenty of time to figure it out and get the job done but this over 70º weather at this time of the year has got me in panic mode to get the car on the road.. 🙂

i'd recommend getting a pushrod length checker and measuring for the proper length
