Puzzle in Hot Rod magazine Nov. 08 issue

[85 Cutlass Brougham]

There is a picture of an odd inline six on page 16 of the Nov 2008 issue of Hot Rod magazine. Anyone have any idea what it is from? I think I figured it out, but will withhold my answer so that others can give theirs (PS: I already E-Mailed my answer in.). It's a really obvious choice when you study the engine bay and think about it's possible nation of origin and the inline six it is known for.
