We did go in the Cathedral. That joker is huge! Apparently, they claim to have the remains of the three wise men in a huge gold casket in the back.

And because of its size, it's one of the few things that wasn't flattened in WWII. Reason was the allies used it as a navigational aid because it was so easy to see.
do you know how far back I had to stand to get the whole thing in the picture? it's about 470 ft long x 200 ft wide while the twin spires are 515ft. you could easily spend an hour in there looking at each feature

I was just in Amsterdam last summer. I recognized this place as Rembrandt Square and I couldn't believe it when I saw this photo. This statue wasn't there last summer though. My hotel was right behind this park. What an awesome, vibrant city. It seemed like everyone there was 30 years old or younger. Thanks for bringing back that set of memories for me!

They just installed that thing in December of last year. So yeah, it wouldn't have been there when you were.
