The 2 pronged unit is tied in with the choke as well as the oil pressure. The single pronged unit above the oil filter is for the gauge. Either / or / both can be routed to the firewall with some brass adapters and some braided line.

^^ Although that is the easiest solution it may not be the best. Brass is brittle and it tends to crack flush with the intake due with the engine vibration and the added weight of the sensors. When it breaks you get 50psi of oil squirting into your engine bay, makes a big mess possibly leaves you stranded if it breaks clean off. I know its been done before and if you go that route use cast iron fittings ( you can find them at HD ) as they tend to be a little more durable. The Braided line solution is more expensive but takes the vibration out of the equation as it allows you to mount the sensor remotely on the rigid firewall or wheelwell. We've done this for each Gbody that has been around and switched to stick as the clutch linkage tends to get in the way of the oil pressure switch right next to the oil filter.

This is what you are looking for. Not 51" mind you but anything in the 12" to 18" range should be plenty

I have a similar problem switching from idiot lights to rally pack gauges..had to buy two sending units for oil and temp...mechanic put the temp in ok but the oil had two senders just below the distributor on the drivers side...one..was a one prong and the other is a two prong...the replacement sender is a large single prong unit...do I eliminate them both and replace with the large single prong? Which wire do I plug into it? I'm thinking probably the one going to the single prong sender? This is a 4.3 factory setup... any help would be greatly appreciated (the mechanic didn't know what to do)... a picture of the new unit is attached... Al

oh man i forgot about this thread guess i will give a little update i will get pictures tomorrow so what i did is i plugged the one down near the oil filter due to my headers then i got some brass fittings and put a t split on the one at the top and ran a mechanical gauge from there and have the other sender plugged into that

I have a similar set up for my oil sender. I used to use a T-fitting... one side was for the idiot light, the other was for my mechanical oil pressure gauge. Now it's just the electric oil pressure sender no warning light. I would like to replace the fittings and go with a braided hose and sending unit mounted to the firewall.
