Doing a cam swap in a 350 chevy. 200cc Dart Heads, forged rotating assembly. I have 10.5:1 compression. Im going to do a magnum 304 cam. This is the description for the cam "Street/strip applications, 3000 stall. Use 4.10 gears and aftermarket intake & headers. Very rough idle".

I have a 4000stall and 3.73 gears. It does not specify if i need aftermarket heads or not so im assuming mine will be fine. can anyone confirm?

I cannot open cam specs due to computer issues so i cannot tell of the specs on duration, lift, or LSA.

i got the specs for the cam. 110 degree LSA, 106 degree intake centerline, duration 244 @ .050 lift, 304 advertised duration, .612 lift intake and exhaust. seems like you need high flowing heads, not sure if 200cc will really cut it.

I thought you said you wanted a nice street car? Either way, some better flowing heads or work on your current ones would be better than what you have right now.

That cam is pretty big for your short block and head combo. If you had a point more compression I think you'd like it more. Although, maybe with the 110 degree LSA it will idle well enough to be a decent choice. I would say you'd just be losing a little torque for sure.

It does match your plan to use a 4,000 RPM stall and 3.73 gears, however. I'm sure your torque and horsepower peaks will be in the upper RPM spectrum.
