Questions....bought someone elses project.....

i bought this car a month ago last owner couldnt get it running...its a 79 cutlass calias wtih 1995 tbi"now carb" chevy 350 w/thm 350, elect fuel pump,elect fan, and dist with vac advance...since then i've gto her runnin and runnin fine except when i forget to turn the fan on .....lol
my question is what do i do about the knock sensor? havent noticed any detonation do i really need it? not plannin on running computer on this car any ideas would help

Without the computer the knock sensor does nothing. Leave it in there to plug the hole though. If the distibutor is the stock tbi one, toss and get an older(i always use 78 as my default year) distributor. The stock tbi one won't give you full advance.
