Hey guys recently pulled the charcoal canister out and had a question about it.
Ok so the steel line that goes to the fuel tank to vent the vapors does that need to be capped off or does it need to be open?
The reason I ask is because I had the line capped off and today went to get gas and while taking off the fuel cap I noticed that there was alot of pressure in there.
With that pressure build up could it cause any problems?
Should I uncap the line and put it in a safe location so water couldn't get into the line?

Need some Knowledge here guys.
Thanks in advance,
Kyle

I left mine open, just ran a small piece of hose downward off from it.

You can cap it if you rum a vented cap

Ya know I was wondering that too im pretty sure my locking gas cap isn't vented because the pressure that was built up.
But I know we sell then at Autozone I might have to look into that tomorrow.
Thanks

Just a question, anyone know what kind of vented cap would work on a gbody tank?

Well Autozone carries Vented caps for them but the only bad this is there push vents so you have to push the button to release the pressure. If you need an auto vent cap napa carries them. Basically just a standard cap with vent holes on it like a radiator cap but it doesn't require as much pressure to pop and release the gases

Need to talk to 1979hurstolds he has a vented cap because he uses the factory vent line as a return in an efi setup
