Are late '80s G-body lug nuts interchangeable with 2 wheel drive S10 lug nuts? I just acquired some rims from a 2nd generation S10 Xtreme for track use and I wanna make sure I don't need new lug nuts.
I don't have the tools to measure the bevel of the lug hole where the nut contacts.

You should be fine, as long as the studs are long enough. I had S10 wheels on my Elky, and now have ZQ8 rims- same lug nuts.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I did a little test this morning that has me pretty well convinced. I put grease on the bevel of the lug nut hole, then pressed in (just with my hand of course) one of my lug nuts. And then I twisted the lug nut back and forth a couple times. The grease was evenly displaced (basically wiped clean) leading me to believe that both angles are indeed the same.
For further clarification, these are the S10 Xtreme rims that simulate (or are) a split 5-spoke. (Rim pictured is from a Google search)

(BTW: Nice Elky, darby. I checked out your link. 8) )

Those are a 60-degree bevel. Fairly universal. I found a set of 20 online that have the same external thread to put ZQ8 rims on my OEM 7/16-20 studs on my 1980 Malibu until I later upgraded to new rotors and axle shafts with 1981+ 12mm wheel studs.

This is not the vendor I bought them from, but this is the style I am talking about: http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-LUG-NUTS-DUA ... 57&vxp=mtr

I'm left with zero doubts at this point. Good info, guys. I'd say "case closed."

GM changed over from SAE threads to metric threads starting with the 1982 model year. The bevel on both styles of lug nuts should be the same.
