I don't see why it wouldn't fit, the only problem I encountered with a tall lower ball joint is that the lip on the stock lower control arm would rub the rotor brake surface. With the stock ball joint the lip rides in the void between the hub and rotor

Did you just trim the lip on the LCA? Anything else to add? I was thinking of going this direction in the Salon, because it needs lower ball joints, but don't want to find other issues after reassembly when I can just trim a little before re-installation.
 
Out of curiosity, is +.50 the ideal length for the LBJ? If it fit, and you went longer to lower the car more, are there side effects? There seems to be more discussion about adding length to the upper.
