Are you talking about factory reproduction type parts or light weight tubular type parts??

I'd rather see a light weight tubular OEM like support. I've seen the others but you have to weld up your own mounts to put your intercooler, radiator etc. on it. I'm talking like stock size radiator and all correct mounting points on a light support. The 10lb savings is awesome but it's the same exact piece just in aluminum. Surely there are parts that can be trimmed to save even more weight.

Just a thought

Yup.... I'm looking to do something with a tubular/lightweight support in the near future. I've seen a few online (iceman, etc.) but for what you get and the price they are going for, plus still having to fab radiator mounts, hood mounts, etc..... More than likely, I'll be making my own.

As long as they are affordable, none of this $300-$500 per door crap... people with these cars don't have money.
Got to cater to the market.

This concerns me a bit. If you are talking a complete shell you will be in the price range you wrote. These doors have many tools to use to complete the "assembly"

I'm not going to go cheap on the product to sacrifice quality. I am hoping that after enough are sold and the tool amoritizes itself the price will come down a bit. You just have to figure out a way to pay off the tool. I'd guess at this point $449.00-$499.00. This is a door, and they are extremely heavy and must be built well. Also to think about the safety side of making this product stong as well.

In the mean time i'll be getting die stamped patch panels created for the people that like to cut and weld. Door skins are also being concentrated on. The doors are the focus of my week.

I would be interested in checking out the aluminum core support nyself...While were on the subject...I wish there was someone that would make replacement chrome moldings for the lower doors, fenders and quarters to for the Non-SS Monte Carlos, like mine🙁

I have NOS Buick and Cutlass for samples which I am able to use to source from. If I can get my hands on them we will try to MFG as well.

Yep, make a inner door patch panel and either a whole door skin or a lower door skin patch, and they will fly off the shelves.
