My 79 Regal came with the am radio, and I recently got an am/fm radio from a G body Malibu. I hooked up the two wiring harnesses, and the radio will not power up. Is there anything else I need for this swap to work, or do I just have a radio that doesn't work? Thanks :)

Does the radio have a digital clock in it? If so you probably are missing a constant power wire and if you look at the harnesses they don't match up exactly. I made a jumper off of my lighter power (orange hot wire) and found the right one for the radio and fed that circuit and it worked.

i would go throguh your harness to make sure the wires are good, or re-wire the radio harness your self

The radio does not have a clock. The radio it came with still works, so I know there is power to it. I'll look at the wiring harnesses and see if everything is routed the way it needs to be. Thanks for the help!
