Hey today when i was looking for a problem with my trunk popper, i stumbled across this wire with a connector that was just unplugged and wrapped around other wires. I have no clue what it plugs into so hoping someone on here knows! Thanks!

Do you have a center console? Looks like the plug to the center console wire harness.

Nope I got the bench seat with Column shift. I looked underneath for half and hour and couldnt find anywhere that it can go

Is there any power accessory besides your trunk release that is not working?
I would check and see if it has power from battery or ignition so you know whether or not it feeds something or is supposed to get power.
If everything on your car works then it might just be for an option you that don't have.

Well today i had a test light and put it into both spaces and the light didnt come on, so maybe its for nothing haha. But Would anyone know what it might have been for? My car has manual locks and windows so maybe it coulda been for that? And all my accessorys work except the trunk release.

Well I wouldn't worry about it then, it's probably just for an option you don't have, just fix your trunk release and be done.

Haha thanks! Tomorrow im gonna go gung ho at this! Would you know where that trunk release wire would be coming from in the trunk? Does it run along the driver side door? Thanks

I think on mine it runs down the passenger side and my switch was in the glove box but just follow the harness from the the decklid and you will see which side it is on.

My trunk release runs down the drivers side.. and needs key ign to be on to get power.

That wire looks like a power seat track wire.. I have something similar plugged into the bottom battery port on my fuse box, but not sure what it is...
