Really stupid question

ok so i have sport seats in my el camino, just the factory option ones. but they have the plactic seat backs and for the life of me i cant put them on, i feel like a retard but idk how the screws mount or where they go. i looked for a while and they dont thread into anything i dont think. does anyone know how the hell they attatch?

If my memory serves me right... there should be two screws.... around the top... a screw on each side of the hinge... and i believe the ashtray (which you probably dont have....) mounts it in the center. Finding the holes... i have no idea... Upon writing this, i realized two things. 1: this most likely didnt help at all and 2: I used "..." alot...

are there are no holes for screws on the panels or anything along the edges to snap them in place?

haha i actually just pickdup a set of seat backs with the ash trays in them but ill check again but im perdy sure there is nother they screw into, mabe they snap in or something but i stuggled for like 10 minutes and then gave up and they have been colecting dust ever since
