rear air shocks

how much air should be in the rear air shocks of a 1986 442. the shocks are Monroe Max- Air.

Depends what kind you have. I have Hijackers by gabriel and keep em at 120 psi.

I run the ones in my wagon at about 40psi because I have no idea.

20 psi minimum... usually 130-150 psi or so maximum.

Anything less than 100 psi unloaded is best for everyday driving.

You'll just have to keep an eye on the pressure for a while, and adjust it until you find the right combination of height and ride quality you like best...

The manual states:

"Maintain a minimum of 70 kPa (10 psi) for best ride characteristics with and empty car. Vary pressure up to a maximum of 620 Kpa (90 psi) to level the car with loads."
