I went to a pier in a near by city and when I went around the loop at the end the rear felt like it lurching and the back end was shaking funny. And sometimes when I back up it makes a thud sound. The posi and gears were all proffesionaly done.. could it be a mount or bushing?

Add some Posi Additive to the rear end. The GM stuff seems to be the best, but you can use the stuff at your local auto parts store- just may have to use two bottles of the auto store stuff.

Talked to a few people. I think the gears are done. When I go down a hill and ahift into third from OD I get a noticable vibration and a growling soud.

I thought mine were bad too, but the additive took care of it. Cheap to try, before you go spending $$$ on gears, etc.
