I'd be happy with any of them 78-88. 79 just happened be be the year that I bought (which I like). If I had a choice thought I'd go with an 81. I ditched my uncle's 81 when I was 13. So it has some sentimental value. Memories and what not.

Also, the wheel opening are different between the supreme and salon body styles. Salon is more rounded.

To clarify that, He's referring to the '78-'80 body style, where the Supreme/Calais is the standard coupe, and the Salon is the aero-back misfit...

'81-'88 Supreme/Calais/Salons are all the same.
