Rear Shelf/Package Tray Question

I couldn't find anything in the archives and Google image searches are fruitless. Was the package tray on the 84 H/O''s carpet covered, or just the bare maple red cardboard? Mine has a loose carpeted piece with a sewed on edge that looks like something the previous owner added but it's hard to tell. My 86 T-Type is carpeted, and a friends 87 Monte SS is carpeted and they are both factory pieces. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the 86-up 3rd brake light or not.

Also own a 84 H/O mine is just painted cardboard plan to do a repaint am waiting for interior parts before we tackle this job have been on order for some time from Gbody.com

I agree with statement above. Out of the 84 H/O's I've saw, they have a simple maple cardboard speaker shelf. I know where a 84 cutlass is with this color interior..I might check the speaker shelf.

Never knew that. Always thought they were capered over that flimsy formed wood material like the other gbody Cutlasses had.
