I purchased a rear spoiler that I was told came from a 442. I'm trying to mount it on a Cutlass Supreme. On initial inspection, I'm concerned that mounting holes may fall into the location of the under hood support frame. If they did, the mounting bolts in the spoiler will not be long enough (they're only about 1/2" long).

I just want to be sure that...

A.) I have the correct spoiler
B.) what is the correct mounting location on the trunk lid
C.) did the 442 have a unique trunk lid?

The mounting bolts on my spoiler are 39 1/2" apart on center and are about 1/2" in length.

Thanks for any help you can offer...

here is a reproction spoiler.............hope ya did'nt buy one of those adjustable wanna be's, they just are not right. I believe you can use a 1 inch hole saw on the frame support to get acess to the mounting points

by the way any spoiler off a 442 would be 70's stuff, only 83/84 hurst olds and 1988 LV2 cutlass had a rear factory spoiler........no 442s 1980 up had spoilers from the factory
