OK looking for ways to cheaply lower the rear end 2"

I have heard the following:

A) Stock 68-72 Chevelle/Monte springs will fit on the rear, and give about 2" of drop. (unsure of the drop though)

B) 92-02 camaro/firebird springs will fit. but how would they fit if only one end of the spring is pigtailed, as the g-body needs both sides pig'd.
Uncut Z-28 springs give 1 1/4" drop but 1 coil cut on those springs gives 2 1/2" drop.

C) cutting stock rear g-body springs? will this work? pics, how do you seat them?

Any help is appreciated!!!

WOW!!! thanks a ton!! a lot of great info there.

I think I will end up getting the 5385 moogs as they give about 2" drop, which is just what i am looking for.
