My 80 El Camino has jounce ( ? ) bars and the Monte SS F-41 front sway bar. I have 2 rear sway bars. A 3/4 in. dia. from a g-body Grand Prix and it is a straight bar that goes behind the diff, and a 7/8 in. dia. from a 1984 Hurst Olds that bends under the diff. The E C's wheel base is 9 in. longer than a Bu's, and has a front to rear weight ratio of 58/42 ( a bu,s 55/45 ). It also has a pay load of about 675 lbs. Witch would be the better sway bar.

The bar selection is a matter of personal preference. A rough rule of thumb is that a stiffer back bar will make the car oversteer more (or in this case, understeer less). Personally I find that all A/G body GMs are understeering pigs and the larger the back bar, the better.

As easy as they are to R&R, I'd try both of them for a couple of days and see which one you like better.
