rearend that can be swapped

im new to the g body world.i just made the switch from b body.i just purchased an 82 el camino.my question is will a s10 rearend fit a g body.any help i really appreciate it

NO...A dirct bolt in would be from other G -Body cars ( Monte, Malibu, Grand Prix, 442 and Grand National) or you could also go with an A-Vody rear with different control arms from the donar car or aftertmarket such as UMI Performance or Iceman Racing. Welcome aboard 🙂

You have to make sure you get pre 88 s10 carriers though. They switched to 28 spline axles, I believe 88 was the official change over year but i have run into some 87's as well. Also good to double check the spline count in older ones as well, just in case they were previously swapped.

You can also use 3rd gen f-body guts, but again they did switch to 28 spline axles but i think it was the early 90's in those. Just watch that you dont pull everything from a Borg Warner 9 bolt diff.
