Redneck ingenuity OR smart as h@ll ??

Oh just wait, it gets better. After loosening the lug nuts, you then drive the truck around in figure 8s till the wheel snaps free from the rusted hub. Been there, done that.

Been there. They were ridiculously tight and even a 1" ugga dugga wouldn't budge them loose. We used a 6' cheater pipe against the slick shop floor and used the clutch to bump the lugs loose in 1st and reverse. Can't remember now if it was the NPR or the Fuso, but one had LH threads.

Better than good - they are left hand thread.

When I was young, dumb and starting out in the wrenching biz. Had a coworker that was older and had also gone to school for wrenching. I watched as he tried to remove he right rear wheel on mid 80s F250 griesel. The wheel nuts turned a 1/4 ways and that was it, ugga dugga for quite some time. I kindly suggested trying the opposite direction. Surely enough the wheel came off easily.. lol

I’ve got one to add to this thread title. My stainless steel flexible dipstick tube was touching the one header tube. I put a hose clamp on each and welded the screw bodies of the clamps together. Permanently no longer touching the header tube. So redneck or smart?
