“Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children. “
- President George W. Bush --- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDh_pvv1tUM 🙁

Sadly too many wish to try to forget it ( :cough: Move On Dot Org. :cough🙂 as it does not work with their political agenda.

Sites like that ,and others show that there are actually people in this country who would prefer our troops were wiped out & we lost the 'war' in Iraq and elsewhere just to prove a point ikn their twisted views of how this country should be run. Theres a term for people like that,I think its trator, but its not a strong enough label in my opinion

I got suspended from school because of this.

The teacher was asking what should be done with ground Zero.
I raised my hand quick and said "with parkin such a problem in downtown new york, they could make a giant parking lot / complex out of it"
Apparently thinking logically is banned in public schools or something.

I thought it was a good idea I dunno, sucks that it happened but it happened, No agenda here, but living in the past is pointless.

That failed so bad.
First off when a house burns down they build another one, you dont get some fancy memorial. (personally people die the only people who deserve a memorial are the fire fighters)
But back to maken your rebuttle logical, if you would have said "if your house burns down they should build an apartment complex that would host more than one family apposed to one, thus creating a better oppritunity for people who couldnt afford to live in an area that isnt over run with crime.

Then you would have had a logical response, god you suck at the internet.
The fact that your not from new york supports this even more.

I distinctly remembering Bush promising us he would deliver justice to Osama Bin Ladin seven years ago. He gets an F. He has dishonored all the fallen victims. Time for a change.

So,you think putting me down on the way I phrase my wording, justifies your overwhelmingly stupid response as to why 99% of Americans feel its appropriate top honor the massive loss of life in the biggest attack on American soil by those who would slaughter innocent civilians in whatever way they can, just becuase we dont believe in the same "god" they do? Try again. You think your last two posts are 'logical' as you like to say.Your true colors are showing. What does me & the internet have to do with anything? Did you graduate from any school yet?

You are obviously too young to truly appreciate an intense sense of loss. The memorial is for the nation in general, but more specifically for those whose lives were touched directly due to the loss of a family member or friend. As a society we remember massive losses of life both due to the emotional toll they take, and as a warning to future generations to try and not allow it to happen again. You would not put up a parking lot where a Nazi concentration camp stood, or over a major Civil War battlefield for the same reason. Places have meanings put upon them by the events that occur there. For those reasons, I believe that a memorial should be done. Not because I lost anyone I knew on 9/11, nor because I wish to visit the memorial or even NYC itself. As a nation, we should never forget that we have to remain vigilant against those who dislike us for whatever reason.

I'm not sure yours or my words will effect someone who so freely illustrates his care less or ignorant attitude towards the significance of what you've said. But maybe he understands that he's allowed the freedom to say it due to the patriots & families of patriots, mine as well, who've paid the ultimate price for those freedoms
