well it is logical, and you could still put a memorial in there that everyone would see when they park. at least you would be making peoples lives easier. if you've ever tried to park in the city, you understand. besides, how many old battlefields have been turned into co-op, malls, or parking lots?
new yorkers are known for moving on, and like he said "living in the past is useless". the important thing is that you should never FORGET the past.
personally i say we should build the towers back even larger, hell make 'em the tallest buildings in the world and put a small but highly noticeable memorials in each building.

You are obviously too young to truly appreciate an intense sense of loss. The memorial is for the nation in general, but more specifically for those whose lives were touched directly due to the loss of a family member or friend. As a society we remember massive losses of life both due to the emotional toll they take, and as a warning to future generations to try and not allow it to happen again. You would not put up a parking lot where a Nazi concentration camp stood, or over a major Civil War battlefield for the same reason. Places have meanings put upon them by the events that occur there. For those reasons, I believe that a memorial should be done. Not because I lost anyone I knew on 9/11, nor because I wish to visit the memorial or even NYC itself. As a nation, we should never forget that we have to remain vigilant against those who dislike us for whatever reason.

x2, very well put

here it is......................9 / 11 WAS AN INSIDE JOB

Whatever. It was not a complicated plot to carry out and easily could have been done as the official story says. Most of those who turn to conspiracy theories have "Bush Hatred Syndrome" and want to think the worst of our current President. Go watch your Michael Moore comedies, as I am sure that the two of you share a common political philosophy and need to hate this country.

Yeah, right! Yeah,we always hire terrorists to fly into our skyscrapers & the Pentagon. What a moron!

don't hate your country, or the people.........just the hitler like government that does nothing good for it's people. Maybe you should do some lookin into this "sh*t" ........your the moron if you believe that what your government says happened. there are HUNDREDS of discrepencies in the story they use. science and fact do not lie! I am from Canada and I bet I know more about your government than you do. stop listening to fox and cnn..........read some real stories off the net, where they can't be controled by the US media

Did you know.......... George Bushs first oil company was bought by money he borrowed from none other than osama bin laden and the bin laden family. they are still closely involved with them even today

say what you will.......................9/11 did not happen like they tell it

knowledge is power

seek the truth.........eh?

there are always discrepencies. it's when there aren't any that i worry. besides, any half-way intelligent person can discount most of those conspiracy theories just by looking at the footage.
the net, now there's a reliable source. any idiot with a room temp IQ and a phone line can post any stupid idea he can think of, and morons believe it.
hitler like gov't? i wish we were doing that well. hitler pulled germany out of a severe depression, gave people jobs, pride, low crime, functional and timely mass transportation, a decent quality of life...
