that's about the only decent pic I have... like 81 regal said, most of the ccc harness is seperate from the main harness... there is a small bracket that keeps the harness grommet in place just below the heater box, if you can access that you may be able to remove the harness without the fender and/or inner fender off (I already had the fender and heater box off when I decided to take mine out, so I'm not completely sure of it)...

once you get rid of the ccc wiring, you won't be able to use the carb and dist anymore, so make sure you have replacements ready to go

take the cpu out from the passenger kick panel and take the whole harness out, you'll have to remove the passenger side fender to get this done (at least i did) it takes some patience to do it on gbodies without scratching the door but tak your time and its worth cleaning up your engine bay

I don't recommend this. A lot of guys just remove the ECM from the kick panel as stated but leave the wires intact. Why?,.....because you can tuck them out of site (or cut them shorter if you'll never use them again). Taking the fender off is risky and you'll want the wires there anyway in case you need to use them for future projects that require wiring from your interior to the engine bay. If you want to run new wires, you can can connect your fresh wires to whats left in the engine bay and pull the factory wiring out from the interior side. I did this on an 82' Cutlass and it worked great.
