After doing some cleaning on my newly acquired 87 Monte lS, I noticed that the quarter panal and tailight emblems (which both look like the same emblem) are pretty chipped and faded. They are hurting the overall look of the car (besides the half chipped/half Rustoleumed paint job, and also the missing/bent trim pieces) and I would like to try and repaint the red and black in the emblem. Can this even be done? I see that there is a clear filler piece on the shield part that would have to come off before I could paint it. Can you take that filler out? Also if I were to paint or replace the emblems, how do you get them off the quarterpanal? Are they stuck on there with adhesive? Or do they have nuts/mounting tabs that I would have to get to from the interior?
