replaced ignition switch and prob...HELP PLEASE

hi all i have an 87 cutlass,column shifter, just relaced the ignition switch(i tend to make my cars like brand new and now she fires rite over with out hesitation 🙂 thing is tho i went to put it into gear,the column shifter thing wont budge,didnt wanaforce it so im asking a MASTER ELECTRICIAN OR SOME ONE WHO NOS HIS SHIY ON THESE CARS TO HELP ME OUT..... any help is appreciated-thanks chris
