I've been wanting to do it for a while now, and soon may be able to get my hands on a factory tach cheap. Other than the tach, and a cable obviously, is there anything else I would need for the swap? I'm sure someone else on here has done this before. Any tips/help/part numbers, etc. I would need would be appreciated. Thanks.
200-4R transmission, BTW, if it matters.

Look under Tach? here is the linkhttp://gbodyforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=8827 . I also have to do the swap as soon as i finish my engine swap. If you get yours done first let me know how it went. There is no cable cuz its a electric signal from the distributor cap. There is a tach plug terminal in the HEI cap.

All I needed to know. Thanks.

Yeah baby! Should be getting 2 speedo/tach clusters in the mail in a couple weeks! Gotta love Ebay! Will be installing as soon as I get them. I will let you all know how it turns out.

Dont know why I said I needed a cable before...brainfart I guess.

Sweet, I'll be doing this also in a month after wiinter dissapears and I can get the prix outta storage.
Pics would be cool!

As soon as I get the damn thing delivered, It will be going in the car. Been waiting almost 3 weeks now...getting anxious. And I will have pics of everything, dont worry.

Its a factory GP tach. Same size as the clock, whatever that is. I actually got 2 complete speedo/tach clusters, so depending on if they both work, I may have one up for sale.

my 80 gp doesnt have front speakers. so at one point i was looking at installing some. the speaker was a perfect fit to put in place of that big *ss clock. i never did do it though. i thought that might be funnier looking than the clock, haha.
