cyrus, most of the 4.3 liters that are listed on that page are 6cylinders... IIRC the only 4.3 liter v-8 was offered in the 94-96 caprices, and was a version of the lt1.... I think you have to do a lot of mods to put in the v-6 4.3(including trans if it isnt the gas engined chevy pattern), and KNOW theres alot of modification for the L99 v-8 4.3 engine(including cutting part of the frame for a/c compressor fittment.

exactly ... i am looking for same engine model ... L99 265 v8 4.3L 94-96 ... i had some conversation with one of forum guys on chat ... he said there is no problem about mounting the 265 4.3L engine on my 78GP .. i got a 400 4speed gearbox on it ...

if someone have one of those 4.3L L99 v8 engines in good condition ... let me know please

cyrus, pm me your e-mail... I have a file on putting the lt1 engine in a monte ss... should be similar to your swap... I'll see if I can e-mail it to you.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Oldsmobile 260 V8 is a 4.3 liter also.
