MONTE CARLO Reproduction Seat Belt Retractors

[1988SS]

Has anyone used the "reproduction" seat belt retractors available now.? If so, please share your opinion of them.

I'm referring to the black lever in the door jamb that eventually breaks.

Wasn’t going to bother with that age old garbage. Went with new ones that operate like modern ones. All self contained. I patched the hole when I was doing my bodywork, but there is a cover for the hole sold by our sponsors

If you shave door handles they work decently for door poppers when the solenoid releases the latch.

I'm one those crazy "keep it stock" types, so I'm keeping the retractors in my car....and would be interested in hearing from someone who has used the reproduction retractors. Thanks!
