Restoring Grand national Air dams??

After much texting and calling around to locals looking for a 1 piece GN front air dam ,a guy hooked me up with 2 piece one they are beat up but were free so I'm quite pleased ,I have a rough driveway and Pittsburgh roads are pretty horrible so I'd feel alot better about accidentally hitting one of these then spending 200+ on some and possibly getting damaged, so has anyone restored these ,they have cracks around mounting holes and scratches and other imperfections but I'd like to make them presentable ,need some guidance

I'd imagine the process would be much the same as the plastic welding techniques used on plastic bumper covers. There should be markings showing what type of compound they were originally made of so you get the right kind of materials to build them up with.

They're thinner than the covers are I think, and you'd need to paint them after all the build up and repair, but I'd imagine it's possible to do.

I also think nobody really does because the time involved plus materials to do it right when theres LOTS of scuffs/damage make it more likely they replace than repair.

Bought these and washed the dams in hot water with soap

From my experience, the Plastic Bonder is the better option, it's more likely to stick to the polyethylene

I think 3M panelbond adhesive would work and you could also bond some thin aluminum to it for added strength.
I had to do bond aluminum to the inside of my Regal front spoiler when my 500 watt halogen work light accidently got pulled to it and warped it but the repair was perfect

I heat gun mine back in shape took some finesse but they turned out fair

I tried that first but I couldn't get them perfectly flat but bonding the aluminum did.
