I have had no reverse lights for 2 years now and after a near miss tonight in a parking lot I am fed up.

The clip is hanging loose under the dash and when I manually move the slider inside the clip the reverse lights work fine. Any idea how this white clip is supposed to attach to the column?? I can feel a slot on top of the column which I think the slider is supposed to sit into but I cannot see what the rest of the assembly is supposed to attached to in order for it to stay in place.

hmm, maybe I'll just drop the column this weekend to see WTF is going on. Between the wiring for 2 alarms and the stereo it's a little crowded under there.

that white clip just snaps into place on top of the steering column...just play with the clip till it snaps into place....
