i was doing a search few wks back what some don't do 1st. to answer the OP question NO! lol

im caught in that rock & a hard place when it comes to everything brakes ABOVE the wheels. the rock is a master cyl, brake booster & lines that are as old as the 86' ss itself. lines no problem, goin stainles mike's montes. so the hard place is how much longer can a master cly & brake booster weather more yrs vs gettin a new acdelco MC & napa rebuilt booster? was also lookin at P valves and this post convinced me wilwood way to go. FYI i'm in no means lookin for a performance system, i very happy with what the factory gave us or to convince YOU 1 way or another.

TODAY! had a chat with my mechanic for a big 1 last R&R. i mentioned the wilwood P valve (nothin set in stone but that post put me in 50% questioning why not reuse the old?). i aint no master mech or gonna pretend to be but what he had to say bout wilwood products shockd me cuz thought were of utmost top quality USA made? preface he been around awhile and works on anything & everything cept tranys & Qjets... lol hes also a jeep rock crawler in time off, he said bout wilwood has 3 failed master cyls trying to get 1 to work on a old like early 50s studabaker maybe late 40s? he had to find a NOS MC to get brakes to work....... YIKES! he also said his experience & fellow rock crawlers say the willwood adjustable P vavles ARE JUNK.... he says "why not just reuse what ya got?" POINT MADE!

did done a search previously and sposedly ths fits a 86 ss... https://www.summitracing.com/parts/wil-260-11322/make/chevrolet/model/monte-carlo/year/1986
